Rave Subculture Moodboard for Fashion Presentation Techniques module.

Done on Adobe Photoshop. Experimentation of Creative Direction in design.

Based off a subculture,  I have been tasked to research and include thematic elements be it historical lifestyle, human behaviour and how culture coincides with fashion.

The following 5 looks have been inspired by the moodboard:
Croquis Sketches drawn by hand, scanned and digitised onto photoshop.

Fabric Manipulation Exploration & Visual Curation.

My process includes atmospheric aesthetics that I wished to blend into the form of clothing, playing with reflectiveness, emotional textures reminiscent of sound waves and sporty style lines due to sportswear typically worn in 90s raves. Contrasting colours show the ever-changing sound design DJs play: a range of genres in techno.

The following accessories related to this collection below are done on photoshop.
My thought process involves the collision of musicality through for example, drum machines and human escapism energetically feels like in a visual form.
Left - Rollerskate shoe made from warping in photoshop, with a Roland-303 Drum Kick for the culture. Sportswear references as prominent in 80s to early 90s raves.

Right - A 3D Graphic Tote Bag with a marbling biohazard detail. Arm bands, harnesses and nets as part of typical night club atmospheres.
